Court Actions to Mitigate the Spread of Contagious Illnesses and Address Public Concern Regarding COVID-19
Shasta County Superior Court strives to ensure equal access to justice and the legal process for all court users. Similar to other government agencies, Shasta County Superior Court is closely monitoring the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. The Court is in continual and ongoing communication with Shasta County Public Health, other California Trial Courts, and the Judicial Council of California to ensure that we have the most current and up-to-date information.
How can you keep informed regarding the Coronavirus?
The latest information regarding COVID -19 is available on Centers for Disease Control (CDC) link at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/share-facts.html, the California Department of Public Health website at https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/Immunization/ncov2019.aspx, Shasta County Public Health at https://www.co.shasta.ca.us/index/hhsa/health-safety/current-heath-concerns/coronavirus, and shastaready.org.
It is recommended that Court visitors adhere to the following procedures:
- Frequently, and throughout the day, wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds;
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands;
- Avoid close contact with persons who are sick;
- Postpone your visit to the Courthouse if you are sick with respiratory symptoms, a fever or a cough;
- Follow the guidance of your doctor or public health officials.
